William O. Myhand

William Otha Myhand, a resident of Duncan passed away on Jan. 28, 2024 at his home, at the age of 59.
William, or Bill as he was known, was born April 1, 1964 in Jacksonville, Texas. to Wesley and Linda (Sword) Myhand. He came to this area from Shattuck, living here since 2022. His greatest joy was being able to spend time with all of his grandchildren. He also enjoyed going antique shopping. He enjoyed fishing, and also loved to listen to the radio. In his younger days he was an accomplished saxophone player, and was looking forward to taking up this hobby again. He had a dog, Tula, which was his constant companion. You rarely saw Bill that he didn’t have a Dr. Pepper in his hand! Bill was one of the friendliest men you could ever hope to meet. He never met a stranger.
Survivors include his mother, Linda Myhand, Overton, Texas; three children: David Myhand and wife Dominique, Comanche; Ashley Myhand, Waukomis and Sierra Myhand, Duncan; a brother, Tommy Myhand and wife Debbie, North Carolina; two sisters: Robbin Hedrick and husband Terry, Kilgore, Texas, and Paula Simpson and husband Andy, Abilene, Texas; his four grandchildren: Charlie Myhand, Dusty Myhand, Johnathon Oden, and Ryker Lee; also numerous other relatives and close friends.
