Five CHS athletes qualify for state track meet

Five Comanche athletes will be competing at this weekend’s Class 3A State Track Meet at Plainview in individual and relay competitions after placing high at the regional track meet at Cashion last weekend.
Kruz Lile and Makisig Rogers will be competing in individual events after Lile won the 100-meter dash (11.23) and Rogers placed second in the 300-meter hurdles (41.09) and third in the 110-meter hurdles (15.77).
Lile and Rogers are also part of the 800-meter relay team with Brycen Lassley and Rylan White (1:35.30). They placed fourth at the regional meet to qualify for the state meet.
Rogers, Lassley, Lile and Cooper Epperson qualified for state with a third-place finish in the 1600-meter relay (3:37.08).
Other placers at the regional meet included Jaylee Roebuck, sixth place in high jump (4-02)and Maicee Combs, fifth in shot put (28-03) for the girls.
On the boys side, the 400-meter relay team placed fourth and Epperson placed sixth in high jump (5-04).
