Weaver releases second book

December 08, 2022

Christian author and speaker and Comanche native, R. Darrell Weaver, announced this week that he has officially published his second book. Within 24 hours of release, it was ranked No. 1 in Amazon’s Death & Grief and No. 3 in Spiritual Warfare new release books, and Ranked No. 16 in Death & Grief and No. 34 in Spiritual Warfare on the Best Seller lists.

This true story is entitled The Ashley Weaver Story: A John the Baptist Moment. Weaver lost his first daughter, Ashley, to brain cancer at the age of 15. The book was released just days before what would have been Ashley’s 35th Birthday. Weaver shows his scars and tells how he survived the loss of his daughter, but yet kept his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. No one should have to bury a child. He describes it as a fraternity no one wants to join. Weaver has a true empathy for grief and the loss of a loved one and prays this book will bring healing to others who have suffered the pain of loss or tragedy on this side of Heaven.

“When tragedy strikes, and you are left to pick up the mangled pieces of life, this book is a must read about faith in our Lord Jesus Christ,” according to a press release about the book. “
Caution: This true story will take you down a journey that may provoke all of the following emotions: pain, resentment, betrayal, peril, grief, anger, despair, tears, sadness, anxiety, loneliness, uncertainty, fear, and defeat. But more importantly this true story will provoke: hope, perseverance, laughter, empathy, love, endurance, contentment, joy, faith, encouragement, victory, salvation, power, gratitude, inspiration, and peace. I have one request: Please read the entire book. Lay the book aside out of anger if needed; put it down to wade through your river of tears and sorrow, but finish this book. One of the overwhelming themes of this book is that each of us have to live our John the Baptist moment on our own timeline. We are all different and no one’s journey is the same.”
