Mark Edward Taylor
Mark Edward Taylor was born April 7, 1959 to Tommy and Bonnie Taylor. He passed away Nov. 27, 2022 at his home in Comanche.
Mark graduated from Comanche High School in 1977 and was a man of many trades; roofing, hauling hay, railroad and carpentry work, whatever he could do to support his family. Finally Mark decided to go to work for Comanche Public Schools for 18 years where his titles were numerous. He served as a coach, bus driver, project manager, and referee just to name a few. He married the love of his life Stacie Presgrove in 1979. They were together through thick and thin every step of the way.
Mark had many interests that occupied his time and energy. He enjoyed hand fishing, raising all types of chickens, coon hunting, going to Lake Texoma with friends and family, all things Comanche sports, especially when his kids or grandkids were involved, playing with grandkids and generally giving and taking a hard time from whomever was near!
Mark is survived by his wife Stacie, of the home; son Shane Taylor and wife Tammy of Comanche, son Blake Miller and Skylyn of Comanche; Daughter Misty Chaney and husband Sean of Comanche; brother Matt Taylor and Sherry of Duncan; Brother in Law Clayton Presgrove and wife Karee of Comanche; Brother in Law Frank Presgrove and wife Tammy of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; Sisters Mika Swanson and husband Kerry of Tahlequah; Mitzi and husband Andy Powers of Comanche; Marla Presgrove and husband Paul of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; Sister in Law Regina Lewis and husband Brandon of Oklahoma City; Sister in Law Lisa Rogers of Comanche and Mother in Law Bobbie Presgrove of Comanche.
Mark’s grandchildren include Madison Taylor, Mason Taylor, Raylee Chaney, Tate Taylor, Emi Taylor, Adri Miller and soon to be added Mitch Miller. Nieces and Nephews include Brandon Barker, Krystal Newsom, Tiffani Dillon, Mikayla McCormick, Taylor Swanson, Clint Powers, Caylee Boyd, Felicia Moore, Lexi Balliez, Trey Lewis, Miranda Beck, Garret Morrow, Leann Pollock, Abby Christian, and Nicci Armstrong. There are numerous great nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Mark was preceded in death by his son Mitch Taylor, parents Tommy and Bonnie Taylor, and father in law Jerry Presgrove.
Memorial Services will be held at Patterson Avenue Baptist Church in Comanche Friday, Dec. 2 at 3 p.m. and will be officiated by Billy Morgan.
