Cross country runs at V-A

The four Comanche cross country teams participated at a meet at Velma-Alma last Tuesday.

The junior high girls got the meet started and Comache finished in 10th place. They were led by a 16th place finish by Raelee Ellis with a time of 11:34.62 over the 2500-meter course. The next three finishers for Comanche came in close together. Stormy Troutman was 64th, Addalynn Miglietti was 70th and Brailey Presgrove was 72nd. They were followed by Emma Milburn in 100th place, Brenley Green in 108th and Keeley Peacock in 109th. Paige Pollard finished 114th and Bristol Freel was 138th.

There were 150 runners in the race.

In junior high boys, Comanche finished eighth as a team. The top scorer for the Jr. Indians was Aiden Frye in 17th place with at time of 13:11.84. Makisig Rogers was second on the team in 44th place. He was followed by Kaiden Davoult in 61st and Aisen Testerman in 63rd. Next was Hickory Anderson in 98th, Rhett Winton in 102nd and Rylan Shelby in 111th.

There were 126 runners in the race.

In high school girls, Comanche placed ninth overall. The Lady Indians were led by Brilee Combs in 27th place with a time of 14:36.40 over the 3200-meter race.

Karsynn Bowles was second on the team in 38th place. Ava Foraker was 75th, followd by Cheyenne Hodges in 80th, Kilee Frye in 108th and Liliana Rocha in 149th.

There were 156 runners in the race.

In the high school boys race, Comanche finished ninth overall. The Indians were led by a top 10 finish from Brycen Lassley, who took 10th. Second for Comanche was Gage Jessen in 49th. He was followed by Hunter Lassley in 65th, Noah Presgrove in 73rd, Jaxson Billingsley in 117th and David Tidwell in 146th.

There were 147 runners in the race.

Comanche will travel to Waurika this Saturday for its next meet.
