Gabriel's House fundraiser slated

September 01, 2022

The Gabriel’s House Foundation Board of Directors is hosting a live fundraiser to raise awareness of the Foundation’s work to make friends and share information about the organization’s Forever Home capital campaign.

“We have waited patiently for God’s timing to bring this event to our community to increase awareness of our mission: To provide a lasting home for Gabriel’s House, Inc, to support its mission and sustain its purpose,” a news release stated.

Local talent from the community will perform and attendees will learn about the facility that will serve God’s children and this community for years to come.

“This is our 25th year for Gabriel’s House to be active in our community,” the news release said. “The intent of this forever home is so that we never have to move again to a new location for the after-school program. There are great plans for this facility to also house many community functions as we move into the future.”

The “Fall Praise Festival” fundraiser will be held at New Hope Baptist Church from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 8. Tickets will be sold at the door and are $20.

The Wharton sisters will play the harp, violin, and piano. The Flesher sisters will be vocalists and they will be accompanied during one of their songs by the Wharton sisters.

Two other musical groups are comprised of individuals from the community who participate in praise and worship music in different congregations. There will be a variety of guitar music as well as keyboards and drums plus guest vocals. Other performers include Jared Smith, Larry and Eddie Culberson and the Impact580 Praise Band.

At the end of the evening Bonnie Talley, founder of Gabriel’s House, will have a book signing of her book that tells the story of Gabriel’s House. The cost of the book is $40.

Funds will go toward building a forever home for the Gabriels’s House organization.
