Ardelia (Sally) Robbins, 90, of Henrietta, Texas, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022 in Henrietta, Texas.
Funeral services were held Wednesday April 13, 2022 at Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Henrietta, with Rev. Randy Osborn, pastor at the First Baptist Church in Henrietta, officiating, Burial was at the Ryan, cemetery in Ryan Okla. under the direction of Davis funeral home in Henrietta, Texas. Sally was born on Nov. 12,1931 in Bryan County, Okla, to Jim and Lovina (Tolly) Helloms.
She was owner of Sally’s plants, worked delivering phone directories, pulled cotton, crocheted afghans and gave to people, blood donor, waited tables, worked janitorial service at roadside parks in Texas, frequent listener to Clay County weather spotters, made custom clothes for her young children, ran her own family farm, ran “Cow Palace Opry in Henrietta, organized Henrietta Helping Hands Club, ran and cooked concessions for auctions held and the former Treasure House owned by Jr. and Pat Johnson in Henrietta, ironed clothes for the public, assisted in digging graves by hand, helped at funeral homes at a young age, wrote a number of country music ballads/songs, helped care for several neighborhood kids, attended Opie and Ryan schools, attended Assembly of God church in Ryan, worked as a waitress, worked in real estate office as a secretary, was a seamstress and cook, sold Stanley Home Products, and Avon, worked with aspiring musicians in different venues, ran and assisted in various jamborees, lyric writer, was supervisor for telephone directory delivery, assisted in numerous telethons (Jerry Lewis MDA, helped with bikeathons for St Jude’s, prepared and delivered Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners to elderly for numerous years, worked nursing homes doing laundry, influenced children and youth in numerous non-profit clubs (Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Campfire), and was in the process of doing audio recordings about her life experiences.
Her hobbies included: crocheting, working with flowers, dancing, and spending time with her family, especially her great-granddaughters. She bought her first house in 1963 with funds from the sale of cattle and hogs that she had raised.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry (Doc) Doyal and husband Nolen Robbins; three sons Jerry W. Doyal; Randy Doyal and Ronnie Doyal; daughter, Joan Bowman; two grandsons; Ryan Wayne Doyal; Marty L. Doyal. One Great-granddaughter Sheila M. Doyal.
Survivors include her daughter Judy Byrd and husband Jackie of Henrietta; grandchildren Lenley Byrd, Terry Byrd, Chris Byrd, Shawn Byrd, Quentin Byrd, Mike Doyal, Grant Doyal, Alan Bowman, great-grandchildren; Randey, Kylee, Ashley, Novalee, Rose, Kay, Ardelia, Jessica, James, Brandon, Amanda; great-great-grandchildren; Hazel, Riverlynn, Rhett, Bentley, Cooper, Canden, Brooklynn, Walker, 
Hunter, Gentry; step-children Larry Robbins and family, Curtis Robbins and son Brandon, Gary Robbins and wife, Sherry Pyle and family; Two sisters Lucille Lawson, and Ruth Thomas; numerous nieces and nephews, and 90-plus years of friends and acquaintances.
