Commissioners table item on McKinney and the sheriff's department

Updated: Following the executive session, the commissioners, under the recommendation of D.A. Jason Hicks, have tabled taking any action until there can be another executive session next week when Murphree returns.

The Stephens County Commissioners have tabled an agenda item in regards to a discussion about sheriff Wayne McKinney's absence and other sheriff's department matters because District 1 commissioner Kreg Murphree is on vacation. They have gone into executive session with McKinney and Hicks in attendance. Any action stemming from the executive session will not be taken until Murphree is back.
