McCords celebrating 70 years

Kenneth and Mildred (Hendrix) McCord of Comanche are celebrating their 70th anniversary.

They were married Sept. 26, 1950.

They have three daughters Peggy (David) Sorrell, Janice Pewitt, Jackie McCord and grandchildren Kenny (Wendy) Roden, Heath (Karen) Roden, Amy (Ronnie) Mears, Crystal Sorrell, Cody (Autumn) Sorrell, Carli (Shea) Bandy, and Anna Hudson. Great grandchildren Ranzi, Kaden, Emily, Kylie, Zach, and Averie. Great great grandchildren Lauren, Makenzie, Jace, Mia, Jaxon and Amara.

Kenneth worked in the oil field for the majority of his career. In the early years he worked for Jones Drilling and Mack Oil He retired from CNG as a drilling superintendent.

Mildred was an LPN and retired from Duncan Regional Hospital after 50 years of nursing. She worked at all 3 hospitals in Duncan (P&S, Lindley, & Medical Center) before they were combined and later became DRH.

Kenneth and Mildred attend Ray of Hope Church and have been leaders and builders in the church since the 1960’s.

The only thing that they put above their family is their faith. All of their lives they have been the best parents and grandparents that could lead a family. They have always provided for any need within their family and many in the community.
