Lady Indians open district play
The Comanche softball team had a busy week with three tournaments and district openers. The Lady Indians are now 4-3 on the season following Monday’s games.
The Lady Indians will be playing in the Kellyville Festival on Thursday and Friday and the Stillwater Festival on Saturday. 000

Jentry Whaley threw her second no-hitter of the season as the Lady Indians cruised to an easy win in the district opener.
Comanche scored four runs in the first, three in second, four in the third and one in the fourth to run rule the home team.
Jentry Whaley pitched all four innings for Comanche, giving up no hits, walking two and striking out 10.
Comanche was led at the plate by: Brighton O’Connor, 1-for-3, two runs scored, double; Ashlyn Jobe, 1-1, run scored, RBI; Raylee Chaney, 1-1, three runs scored, two RBI; Kamrey Rendon, 2-for-3, two runs scored, RBI; and Aspen Loafman, 1-for-2

Not to be outdone on the mound, Kamrey Rendon tossed a no-hitter in the second game, giving up no hits and striking out six in three innings of work.

At the rain-shortened El Reno Tournament, Comanche fell in its only complete game of the tournament.
Lawton Ike scored three runs in the top of the first, two in the third and three in the fifth to put the game away.
Meanwhile, Comanche was limited to just two hits in the game as Mykayla Slovak and Ayli Minor picked up hits.
Kamrey Rendon was the losing pitcher, giving up six hits, five runs, two earned runs, a walk and striking out two.
Tuesday, Aug. 10

Byng 0
At the Lake Country Conference Tournament, Comanche broke open a close game in the third inning with six runs to pull away from Byng.
The Lady Indians had scored two runs in the first to take a 2-0 lead before Byng cut the lead to 2-1 in the top of the third.
The Lady Indians, however, scored 10 runs over the next two innings to get the win.
Mykayla Slovak hit her first home run of the season in the contest.
Kamrey Rendon was the winning pitcher, giving up four hits, one earned run, a walk and striking out five.

Sulphur put up five runs in the top of the first inning and held off Comanche the rest of the way to get the win at the LCC Tournament.
The Lady Bulldogs put up three more runs in the top of the second to take an 8-1 lead before the Lady Indians attempted a comeback, scoring two runs in the second, one in the third and one in the fourth.
