Comanche football to have scrimmage

The Comanche football team will travel to Bethel this Friday to play against the home team and Elmore City-Pernell beginning at 6 p.m.

Comanche will host Mangum in a scrimmage next Thursday at 5 p.m.

There is no entrance fee, but donations are appreciated. Items needed are towels, body soap and Dawn Power Wash Spray.

Hamburgers, hot links, hot dogs and all the fixings with chips and dessert will be available for $8.

Spirit gear will be available for purchase from Okie Doodle.

On Sept. 1, the annual Comanche Area Chamber of Commerce Community Pep Rally will take place at the football field.

The pep rally had been traditionally held downtown, but due to sidewalk construction, it had to be moved to a different location.

The pep rally starts at 8 p.m. and will include the football, cheerleader, pom, softball, cross country teams and the Comanche High School band.
