Susan Kay Menges, age 68, peacefully passed from this life to her Eternal home on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025 in Midwest City following a brief illness. A memorial service was held on Friday, Dec. 19 at the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel.
Susan was born Nov. 15, 1957, in Burd Droppe Park, England, to Samnmie J. and Letha (Stephens) Brown. She attended school in Omaha, Neb. She then joined the US Army, serving in the Signal Corps. She met John Menges in 1984, while they both were serving in the military, and on January 2, 1985 they were united in marriage in Lawton, Oklahoma. Susan was a loving mom to her three children, Patricia, Alecia, and Shawn. She loved crafting, sewing, crocheting, and baking. More than anything else, though, she loved her family and loved spending time with them.
She is survived by her loving husband, John, of the home; three children: Patricia Brown, Oklahoma City, Alecia Menges, Duncan, and Shawn Menges, Duncan; her grandchildren: Emily, Bethany, Clayton, Lane, Shaelynn, Lotson, Amara, and Cash; one brother, James Brown, Snyder,; and a sister, Barbara Kennely, Minneapolis, Minn.; and other relatives, and many dear friends.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: David Brown and Tommy Brown; and a granddaughter, Letha Slate.
