Lady Indians fall to Davis

August 28, 2025

Comanche fell 6-2 to visiting Davis on Monday afternoon in a district matchup.
All six runs surrendered by the Lady Indians were unearned as Comanche could not overcome seven errors in the game.
The Lady Indians did outhit the Lady Wolves, 10-6, with every Comanche player except two getting at least one hit, but Comanche could not get enough big hits with runners in scoring position to keep pace with Davis.
Comanche had cut the lead to 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Raelee Ellis scored on a sacrifice fly by Cloey Kinkade.
The Lady Wolves, however, answered with three runs in the top of the sixth and the Lady Indians were unable to get anything generated in their final two at-bats.
The game had been tied 1-1 at the end of the second before Davis scored two runs in the top of the third to take the lead for good.
Cianna O’Connor led Comanche by going 3-for-4 and Ellis was 2-for-4 with a run scored. Cassidy Smith, Kinkade, Bre Gill, Savannah Kelnhofer and Payton Gomez each had a hit.
Kinkade was the losing pitcher. She gave up six hits and no earned runs.
The loss kept the Lady Indians (4-7) winless in district play heading into their district home game against Lindsay on Tuesday.
