Bonnie Lee Stranahan

Bonnie Lee Stranahan peacefully passed away on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 2, 2021 at her home in Comanche. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 23 at 2 p.m. the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Wade Peyton officiating, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home.

Bonnie was born Nov. 15, 1934 in Fresno, Calif. to Bill and Esther (Benzler) Tefertiller. She and Jack Stranahan were united in marriage on March 22, 1953 in West Terre Haute, Ind.. They moved to Comanche in 1973, coming from San Diego. 

She was a member of Praise Assembly of God Church. Bonnie loved to bake, paint, and travel, she especially loved going to Branson. More than anything else she loved her family. She took great pleasure in spending time with her grandchildren. Bonnie also loved her cat who she named “Brother.”

She is survived by her children: Pamela Stone and husband Rollie, Duncan; Marsha Anderson and husband Steve, Duncan; Jackie Stranahan and wife JoAnn, Kingston;  Brenda Weeaks and husband George, Marlow; and Lisa Gamblin and husband Greg, Hugo; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her close friends, Dale and Ann Harms, Duncan.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Jack; her parents, Bill and Esther;  one son Robert Stranahan; one daughter, Rose Gamblin; a great grandson, Bryce Mitchell; and her grandparents, Earnest and Gracie Tefertiller.
