City launches new logos

Comanche residents may have noticed a new look on city vehicles and the water tower as city officials have adopted a new logo to represent the city.

“The city council met and discussed last year regarding a rebranding of the city logo to differentiate between the city and the ‘Comanche Indians’,” said Chuck Ralls, city manger. “When I came in as city manager we created the marketing tag line ‘Where Cowboys and Indians Meet.’ This was to better reflect our Rodeo and Cowboy Legacy along with our native American heritage.

“Also when the cattle drive would cross into Indian territory this is the area they would stop and negotiate safe passage through the territory and trade. We need to embrace and express the full context of the City’s history. We feel these logos accomplish that.”
