CTAC to sponsor Cow Patty Bingo
Chisholm Trail Arts Council is knee-deep into its fifth annual Cow Patty Bingo fundraiser. They are counting on community support through the sale of tickets to win $1,000.
On March 23 at 1 p.m, Luna, the show’s star, will make an appearance. Luna is a 10-month-old heifer. Her owner, Jake Parks, will lead her into the Bingo pen. Parks is the 6-year-old son of Justin and Dede Parks of Comanche.
“This is the fifth year the Parks family has helped us with Cow Patty Bingo. Jake is following his sister Emaleigh’s lead at Cow Patty Bingo by being the one to handle the heifer in the pen. We couldn’t be more excited to have Jake help us this year. He is too young to show yet, so this will allow him to practice working with Luna,” says Darcy Reeves, Executive Director of Chisholm Trail Arts Council.
Returning judges for this year’s event are District Attorney Jason Hicks, Janice Schornick (First Bank & Trust), and Steven Dixon (artist, Second Chance Ranch). The Cow Patty Bingo will occur near the Claude Gill Arena at the Duncan Stephens County Fair & Expo Center.
Official judges will be on-site to confirm where the majority of the “plop” falls to determine the winner of the $1,000 prize money. “If there is no plop by 4 o’clock, then a random ticket number will be drawn, and a winner will be declared at that time.”
Last year’s winner was Kevin Hammack of Duncan.
Funds raised from Cow Patty Bingo go directly back to the community. CTAC provides four programs to our community: Arts Explosion, Art Education in Schools, CTAC Art Gallery, and CTAC Live Concert Series.
Anyone 18 years and older can purchase tickets. You do not need to be present to win.
