Indians edged by Lions

The Comanche wrestling team lost a close 43-36 match against Blanchard on Senior Night last week.

The Indians were ahead 36-31, but two forfeits at 215 and 285 gave the Lions the points they needed to get the win.

All of Comanche’s points came by pin or forfeit. Ayden Frye opened the match with a fall in the third period before Cooper Dobbins and Hayden Dugan picked up forfeits.

After a couple of losses, Erik Roy picked up the win at 150 pounds with a second period pin that gave Comanche a 30-18 lead.

Blanchard got 10 points in the next two matches before Comanche’s Kanon Clift got a second period fall to extend the Indians lead to 36-28, but the Lions would come back to get a 9-3 decision at 190 pounds before winning the final two matches by forfeit.
