Michael Lynn Willson

Michael Lynn Willson was born on July 19, 1977, in Duncan to Steven Lynn and Kayleen (Cantwell) Willson. He passed away in Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, at the age of 46.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, Feb. 2, at Whitt Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.. A funeral service is planned for 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 3, at Unity Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Kirby Kelley and Rev. David McAlester officiating. Interment will follow in the Duncan Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers are Christopher Brown, Dustin Cantwell, Bryan Wagner, Ralph Telles, Johnathan Cantwell, and Jack Rochell. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Tim Davis, Brandon Davis, Steven Willson, and Shelby Willson.

Michael graduated from Comanche High School in 1996. He worked as an industrial painter. On June 16, 2012, he married Charlesa Davis in Duncan. To this union two children were born, Shelby Q’Lynn and William Steven.

Michael was a car enthusiast. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and going to car shows. The Ford Mustang was his favorite. Most of all, Michael loved spending time with his children.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steven; paternal grandparents, Caviness and Melvin Willson; maternal grandparents, Ina and Levi Cantwell.

Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Charlesa; daughter, Shelby Q’Lynn; son, William Steven; mother, Kayleen Willson; and sister, Adeena Willson Brown and husband Christopher.
