Marlow girls punch ticket to tournament final

COMANCHE - Marlow’s Demi Hunt knocked down three three-pointers in the first quarter to help propel the Lady Outlaws to a 50-37 win over Ryan in a girls’ semfinal of the Stephens County Tournament on Thursday.

Marlow never trailed. Ryan got within one point in the first quarter, but Marlow closed out the first quarter on an 8-2 run and the Lady Outlaws would build their lead from that point on.

Marlow started the second quarter with back-to-back three-pointers by Gracee Ottinger and Carson Lovett. The Cowgirls were never able to recover, not getting closer than eight points the rest of the way.

Marlow went on to take a 27-15 halftime lead.

The Lady Outlaws then put the game away with a 15-point third quarter to take a 42-23 advantage into the final quarter. Ottinger scored 12 of the points for Marlow in the quarter.
