The Safe Center board of directors, who are committed to ending domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and child abuse in Stephens and Jefferson counties, is inviting the public to their annual gala.
This year, Safe Center is thrilled to host our annual gala on Thursday, Oct. 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kendall’s View in Marlow.
Since its founding, Safe Center has been committed to ending domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and child abuse in Stephens and Jefferson counties thanks to the dedication of the community, especially the support of corporate and foundation partners. With community support, Safe Center has been able to assist all victims through crisis intervention, advocacy
support groups, temporary emergency shelter and safety planning.
In 2022, Safe Center was able to assist more than 574 victims. In 2022, Safe Center opened a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) room onsite to better serve victims of sexual assault.
Safe Center has started conducting forensic interviews for children where there are allegations of child abuse or neglect.
The funding raised at this event will assist Safe Center in supporting families to live without the threat of violence from abuse.
With continued support, the Safe Center will continue to strive to provide necessary services and a safe place for families in Stephens and Jefferson counties.
