CTAC Live Concert Series Presents Matt Axton and Badmoon
Raised in the mountains of California, Matt Axton’s eclectic style is proudly honed in the heart of the Axton Musical Legacy. Matt honors his family, father Hoyt Axton and grandmother Mae Boren Axton, at every show with his own versions of their #1 hits “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Joy to the World” and many more. Boasting over 300 of his own original songs, and with some of LA’s best players behind him, Matt and his band have hit the road running with multiple tours across the nation.
Axton’s music is a “humble slice of Americana”, a mix of folk, funk, country, blues and rock. “Matt and his band will be joining us at the Simmons Center Theater and we are really excited to have him kick off our 23-24 concert season. Axton visited the Duncan area last year as he accepted a posthumous inductee award on behalf of his father at the Duncan Area Arts Hall of Fame.”
Through the generous sponsorship from Bank of Commerce and First Bank & Trust, the CTAC Live Concert Series will bring Matt Axton and Badmoon Band to the Simmons Center stage on September 28th in Duncan, OK.
