Jennifer Lynn Self was born on May 11, 1987 in Duncan to her parents Larry Adams and Lynnel Boyles. She stepped into eternity on April 29, 2023. Jennifer brought love, light, and faith into the lives of all those around her and will be remembered for her loving nature and caring spirit.

Jennifer attended Murray State College, where she obtained a degree in nursing and met the love of her life, Tyler Self. They were married after college and she went on to have a fulfilling career as a registered nurse. She worked diligently as a case manager for Tender Care Home Health, where her patients and their families greatly appreciated her kindness and compassion. Despite her professional successes, Jennifer always believed that her greatest accomplishment in life was being a momma to her four beautiful children and a wife to her husband.

Always making time for her family, Jennifer's devotion and love was demonstrated in all aspects of her life. She enjoyed reading her bible, which was her favorite activity, often finding inspiration and guidance through the teachings found within its pages. Jennifer had an unwavering faith in God that was evident in her words and actions, providing immeasurable strength and support to those around her.

In addition to her faith in God, Jennifer had a passion for flowers and gardening and could often be found tending to her plants with great care. She also enjoyed canning fruits and vegetables, providing for her family with pride and homemade goodness. Her outgoing personality ensured that she was always surrounded by friends and family, creating memories that will be cherished for many years to come.

Jennifer was described by those who knew and loved her as being loving, caring, and outgoing. Her kindness and heartwarming smile could instantly brighten any room, and her ability to put others at ease made her a joy to be around. Through her words and actions, she showed a deep compassion, not only for her own family, but also for all those she encountered in her life.

In her 35 years, Jennifer's life was a testament to her devotion and love for God, her family, and her career. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, as they remember the many precious moments shared with her and strive to honor her memory by living life with the same love, kindness, and faith that she exuded every day.

As the seasons change and flowers bloom, take a moment to remember Jennifer Self, a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who left this world too soon, but whose memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy and Georgene Ritter and Bill and Nelda Adams, her Uncle, Donald Ritter, and her nephew, Micah Hatcher. She was a dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, whose presence will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Tyler Self, of Cloudy and their four children Lynnlea, Rheagan, Elijah, and Ezra, her parents, Larry Adams of Comanche, Mike and Lynnel Boyles of Comanche, and Rick and LaDawn Self of Cloudy. She is also survived by her brother, Roy Adams, of Austin, Texas, brother-in-law, Kyle Self and wife Megan of Rattan, sister-in-law, Whitney Hatcher and husband Tyrel of Moore, nephews, Peyton, Chambers, Brice, Carter and Bentley, and niece, Emma, as well as numerous other family members and a host of friends.

Family night will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers. Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Victory Assembly of God in Rattan with Kyle Self and Kasey Hudson officiating. Interment will follow at Wheat Field Cemetery in Cloudy.
