Nancy Renea 'Rene' Davidson

Nancy Renea “Rene” Davidson, age 90, a resident of Lawton and formally of Durant peacefully passed away on Thursday evening, April 27, 2023 in Lawton. A funeral service was held on Monday, May 1, 2023 at the Comanche Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Mike Bates officiating. Interment followed at Fairlawn Cemetery, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home. 

Nancy was born on Nov. 11, 1932 in Walters to Edwin and LaVina Rice. She and Bennie Ray “Red” Davidson were united in marriage on Aug. 12, 1950 in Lawton. She loved taking care of her garden and tending to her flowers. In her younger days she enjoyed riding horses. Rene was a member of the Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Bennie, of the home; brothers and sister-in-laws: Royce Davidson, Ray Gene Williams and wife Lois,  John Williams and wife Gayla, and Winnie Biffle, and Lucille Davidson;  also nephews: David Williams, Jimmy Williams, Gary Williams, and Chet Rice; her nieces: Dianne Gay and Sharon Ford.

Rene was preceded in death by three siblings: Bill Rice, Leslie Rice, and Dorothy Williams.
