Madeline Pearl Wileford

Madeline Pearl Willeford, age 97, a longtime resident of Comanche, went home to be with her Lord, on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 in Meridian. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 22 at noon at Prairie Hill Church of Christ, with Mario Pineda officiating. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home. Viewing will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time, at the church.

Madeline was born May 6, 1925 in Walters to Carl and Juanita (Maynard) Sharp. She graduated from Comanche High School in 1944. She and Kenneth Willeford were united in marriage on Oct. 1, 1944 in Purcell. They made their home in Comanche in 1950. She worked in janitorial service for Meridian School, Meridian Nursing Home, and Sunray Refinery. Madeline was an active member of the Prairie Hill Church of Christ for 72 years. She was well known for her delicious baking, and beautiful crochet pieces. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

She is survived by her nieces Karlanita Taylor and husband Curtis; and Dana Entenmann and husband Ted; her nephews Chris Smith, and Wayman Smith; and; many great nieces and nephews.

Madeline was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; a sister, Joyce Smith, and her parents, Carl and Juanita Sharp.
