City of Comanche residents chose their representatives for the City Council last week, re-electing Sharon Rounds in Ward 3 and electing Brayden Harris to serve at-large. Ward 4 representative Austin Myers was unchallenged and will automatically retain his seat.

“I am honored to be chosen to represent the people of my great hometown,” said Harris on his Facebook page. “I truly appreciate everyone who helped along the way. I can’t wait for the adventure to begin.”

“I am so excited for another four years on the City Council of Comanche,” Rounds posted on Facebook. “It is an honor to serve.”

Rounds received 62% of the vote. She had 73 votes and her opponent Greg Morgan had 35.

Harris received 50.7% of votes in a three-way race with Dennis McQuinn and Keith Hampton. Harris received 57 votes, McQuinn had 35 and Hampton had 20.
