Accident sends two to hospital

A single-vehicle accident sent two Comanche people to the hospital in critical condition on Thursday night.

According to an Oklahoma High Patrol report, at 7:46 p.m., a 1995 Nissan Isuzu with a driver and a passenger departed the roadway near the intersection of N. 2800 Rd. and E 1850 Rd. southwest of Comanche. The vehicle then made contact with an embankment containing a tin horn and rolled an undetermined amount of times before coming to rest on its wheels.

The two occupants, Jacob A. Potesak, 19, of Comanche and Jesse J. Ponce, 20, of Comanche were ejected from vehicle where they were both admitted with internal and external injuries.

Both occupants were flown by Air Evac to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
