Wilma “Joan” Doyal Bowman
Wilma “Joan” Doyal Bowman, age 57, of Cleveland, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at her home.
She was employed by Unical Springs Campground at the time of her death. Previous jobs included waitress and nurse aid in Georgia, Texas and Oklahoma. She enjoyed the work she did and the people she worked with.
Joan was born Oct. 16, 1961 in Waurika to Ardelia (Sally) Helloms Doyal and the late Jerry D. (Doc) Doyal. The family moved to Henrietta, Texas in December 1961 where she lived and attended school for many years.
She was married to Keith Evans of Longview, Texas; Ronnie Drueien of Wichita Falls, Texas; Billy Shelton of Longview, Texas. She later married Dallas (Pete) Bowman and lived in Texas, Oklahoma and Georgia where she raised grandson/son Alan Bowman from the age of three years until her death.
Joan was preceded in death by her father, Jerry (Doc) Doyal, her brother Ronnie Lee Doyal, stepson Shane Bowman, nephews Ryan Wayne Doyal, Marty L. Doyal; niece Sheila Doyal, grandparents Fannie and Jerry A. Doyal, Lovina and Jim Helloms and Clara Robbins; stepfather Nolan Robbins and nephew Eric Robbins.
Joan loved listening to country music, dancing and karaoke. Joan loved her surviving family. She will be missed by her husband Dallas, son Alan, step-daughter Tammy of Georgia; mother, Ardelia (Sally) Robbins of Henrietta, Texas; brothers Jerry Doyal and Betty of Henrietta, Texas, Rand Doyal of Henrietta, Texas, Larry Robbins and Curtis Robbins of Texas, Gary Robbins of Indiana, Keller Smith of Oklahoma, sisters Judy (Doyal) Byrd and Jackie of Comanche, Sherry Robbins of Indiana, Darla Franklin Uselton of Henrietta, Texas; Angel Smith Valadez of Burkburnett, Texas; nephews Lenley Byrd, Shawn Byrd of Henrietta, Texas; Quentin Byrd and daughter Nova of Henrietta, Texas; Chris Byrd, Rachel, Kay, Ardelia Byrd of Ohio, Terry Byrd, daughter Rose of Oklahoma, Mike Doyal, Sheila, Radney and Ashley Doyal of Oklahoma, Jessica and Brandon Pederson of Oklahoma, Brandon Robbins of Texas, Aaron Robbins of Texas and many aunts, uncles and cousins and other family and friends.
