Wanda June Lokey
Wanda June (Doyal) Lokey, a lifelong resident of the Corum and Comanche communities peacefully passed away in the early morning hours on Jan. 1, 2020 at her home west of Comanche. She was 69 years old.
A funeral service was held Jan. 6, 2020 at the Corum Baptist Church. Interment followed at Fairlawn Cemetery, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home.
June was born Aug. 25, 1950 in Duncan to James and Louise (Best) Doyal. She graduated from Comanche High School in 1968.
On Sept. 16, 1968 she and Ray Lokey were united in marriage in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was an active member of Corum Baptist Church for more than 50 years. June loved fishing, traveling, cooking, and helping others. She loved her church and her church family. More than anything else, June loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Doyal; a sister, Joann Best, a brother, Dale Doyal, her daughter, April Lokey-McQuilliam, and two grandsons, Nolan Reeve Lokey and Theodore James Lokey.
Survivors include her husband Ray, of the home; a son, Brian Lokey and wife Paula, Comanche; four grandchildren, Dakota Lokey and wife Julee, Duncan, James Lokey and wife Bethany, Norfolk, Virginia, Cheyenne Lokey, Ponca City, and Rabeka Maddox and husband Tyler, Loco; her mother, Louise Doyal, Comanche; two sisters, Jean Petty, Comanche, Sue Lokey and husband Wade, Norman; and one brother, Wayne Doyal and wife Cheryl, Lindsay; also four great-grandchildren, Rose, Faith, Cameron, and Nevaeh; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless other relatives and friends.
