Raul, or “Papi” as he was affectionately known, was born August 16, 1995 in Duncan, to Jose Raul Solis and Miriam Cruz. He attended school at Comanche, graduating in 2015. He worked at several jobs after high school, but his main goal was to become a welder. Some of his favorite things to do included fishing, riding his bike, and Ting So Do with David and Charla Croy, and he loved pestering his siblings. He also loved super heroes. Raul had a way of making people feel good about themselves. Papi was striving to learn more and achieve new things. He was a devout Christian, never missing an opportunity to share the love of Christ with friends and strangers. Raul was loved and cherished by the entire community. His smile was contagious. He was known for giving the best hugs of anyone.
Left behind are his parents, Jose and Miriam Solis, of Comanche; four sisters: Kassandra Solis White and husband Jimmie, Comanche; Koral Solis Serrano and husband Fernando, Houston, TX; Krystal Solis, Comanche; and Kandy Solis, Comanche; one brother, Jose Solis, Comanche; his grandmother, Enriqueta Jimenez Coutino; many cousins, aunts, uncles, and not just hundreds, but thousands of friends. He will be sorely missed, but we take comfort in knowing that he is in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Serving as pallbearers will be James Watson, Jesse Loughridge, Dakota Samut, Jimmie White, Justin Poff, and Dusty Burton.
