Jerry Don Thompson

Jerry Don Thompson, age 79, a lifelong resident of the Comanche community, passed away unexpectedly on Friday afternoon, February 8, 2019 at Duncan Regional Hospital.. Jerry was born October 14, 1939 in Comanche, to Everett and Flossie (Morris) Thompson. He attended school at Comanche. He married Loretta Thomas on April 15, 1958 in Las Vegas, NV. Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a pipefitter and bricklayer for many years. He was known as a “jack of all trades”. Jerry never met a stranger, and he was a great storyteller. He enjoyed fishing, play ing Keno, and watching western movies. He had several dogs, which he loved dearly. He was an active member of Ray of Hope Church.

Survivors include his wife Loretta, of the home; two daughters: Lisa Cheek and husband Bill, Arlington, TX, and Christina Thompson, Comanche; one son, Jerad Thompson and wife Denise, Duncan, OK; a son in law, David Standridge, Comanche; eight grandchildren: Krystina, Keatyn, Josh, Jessica, Kasundra, Lauren, Blake, and Katelyn; fivegreatgrandchildren: Clayton, Layne, Shaelyn, Charliegh, and Willow; and numerous other relatives and many friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Tina Standridge.
