Debra ‘Debbie’ Ruth

Debra Sue “Debbie” Ruth, aged 63, a resident of Comanche, passed away Sunday evening, October 6, 2019 at Integris Hospice Care in Oklahoma City.  A funeral service was held Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Patterson Avenue Baptist Church, with Bro. Trent Young officiating.  Interment followed at Marlow Cemetery, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home.  

Debbie was born Nov. 10, 1955 in Lubbock, Texas to Jerry and Dorothy Willson.   She married Larry Paul Ruth on Aug. 19, 1995.   Debbie worked for many years at Dollar General Store.   She retired from working to take care of her mother, as well as her mother taking care of her.   She loved her family very much.   She also loved her four dogs; Sport, Bacon, Foxy, and Little Bit.   She raised them just like raising her kids again.   Debbie enjoyed working crossword puzzles, taking naps, and she was a very crafty individual, able to do many things.   She was always able to figure out a way to get something done or make something work.   She enjoyed watching television, including such shows as Walker, Texas Ranger, CSI,   and NCIS.   She also loved cartoons.   Debbie loved to laugh.   She always had an encouraging word for everyone, and was always rooting for the underdog.   She had a huge heart to help anyone and everyone.   She would give the shirt off her back if that’s what was needed.   She did her best to help anyone in need that came to her.   She was a very loving, caring, helpful woman who loved God.   She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and aunt.   She loved her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.   She loved playing with babies.

Survivors include her children: Robin Smith and Darrell, Bethany; Becky Morris and Chris, Edmond; Scotty Morris and Mike Santos, Yukon, OK; Bryan Ruth and Stephanie, Yukon, OK;   her mother  Dorothy Willson Clark, Duncan, OK; her mother in law, Helen Major, Moore; a brother, Ronnie Willson, Rush Springs; two sisters: Shirley Underwood and Mike, Moore; and Dottie Brown, Duncan; a sister in law, Kathryn Ruth and husband Mike, Moore; a sister in law Marilyn Yates and Billie, Duncan;   a brother in law Randy Ruth and Donna, Norman;   her close friend, Minnie Bedrick; 10 grandchildren: Colt, Mica, Aaron, Dalton, Jordyn, Joshua, Kaitlin, Caleb, Larry, and Bryanna;   six great-grandchildren: Dakoda, Owen, Logan, Jaxon, Zoe, Lilly; and another one arriving in March; numerous nieces, nephews, great  nieces and great nephews; and many cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Smith, Chris Morris, Dalton Smith, Aaron Morris, Noal Morris, Caleb Ruth, and Mike Santos.
