Wrestlers finish up regular season
Comanche wrestlers wrapped up their regular season with a tournament in Chickasha last weekend.
The Indians placed fifth as a team and seven wrestlers placed overall, including a first-place finish by Konner Doucet, who also won the award for most pins in the shortest amount of time with his four pins.
“We didn’t finish as high as I wanted to, but we didn’t have four starters either,” said Jason Miller, head coach. “I think we were only 16 or 17 points out of second place without four starters, so it wasn’t that bad. I’d have like to see those guys get some mat time.”
Miller was pleased with the performance of his smaller weights even though they may not have medaled.
