Storm claims local man’s life
A man checking his property on a four-wheeler at Johnson’s Corner east of Comanche got swept away by floodwaters during last Wednesday’s heavy storm.
The body of Faron Morgan was found in a pasture about 14 hours after an eyewitness saw Morgan, 57, of Comanche, swept away by a strong creek overflow.
Stephens County Sheriff Wayne McKinney said they received a 9-1-1 call around 6:30 p.m. from a driver on the highway who saw Morgan fall into the water.
