McKinney wins re-election; Churchman advances
Oklahoma voters went to the polls for Republican and Democrat primaries. Stephens County had several decisions to make. All incumbents either won outright or advanced to a run-off or the general election.
Stephens County Sheriff Wayne McKinney is guaranteed another term as he defeated his Republican primary challenger, Cris Lang by a total of 4,093 (64.4 percent) to 2,264 (35.6 percent). There will be no Democrat or independent challenger in the general election.
