Indians Take R-U Championship Trophy At Prague Classic

Coach Caleb Patterson’s CHS Indians have some heads turning in the early season and kept some nice pre-break momentum at the Prague Holiday Classic with a tourney opening victory over Ripley, a victory over Class 5A Woodward in the championship semi’s, before falling to Class 4A Cleveland in the championship finals Saturday night and claim the runner-up championship tourney trophy.

“I feel like we made a lot of strides these last few days,” Coach Patterson said late Saturday night after the championship final game.

“The guys are learning a new system. They are also learning how to play with each other as a team and I believe we made a lot of good headway this week.

“There were probably not very many people that thought we would make it to the championship final game and we surprised a lot of people,” Coach Patterson shared.
