Hushbeck excited about being AD
New Comanche superintendent Julie Bills did not have to go far to find her new athletic director, promoting Comanche assistant athletic director and coach Sean Hushbeck to the position.
Hushbeck had been the assistant athletic director under Aaron Weast, who stepped down as AD at the end of the last school year.
“It’s something I’ve been working towards and while I was coach Weast’s assistant, I learned about what to do,” Hushbeck said. “It’s good to have an impact on all the programs, not just the ones I coach.”
Hushbeck thinks having a corporate background and being in business has helped him prepare and gain the experience he needs in order to perform the job well.
“It’s a good time to be taking over,” Hushbeck said. “This is a pretty successful time for the school.”
Hushbeck said his top priority will be to make sure the coaches get what they need in order to be successful.
