Heather’s Hope has groundbreaking
Christian Helping Hands continues to celebrate their 10-year anniversary with a groundbreaking ceremony for Heather’s Hope Housing program.
“Grants from the McCasland Foundation, Sarkeys Foundation and generous donations from caring individuals in the community have made it possible to expand our housing program to include duplex homes,” said Christian Helping Hands volunteer Pam Dobbins. “This addition will become part of Heather’s Hope Housing as a long-timer model to help families break the cycles of poverty and homelessness forever.”
In 2015, Heather Phillips worked for Christian Helping Hands mentoring and encouraging women in the organization’s transitional housing program.
“She hoped her life experiences could be used to show that God can restore broken lives and make them whole again,” Dobbins said. “As we encouraged Heather in her new life, she encouraged us in our ministry. We will always believe her contribution to Hands of Hope Housing sparked the growth that enabled us to add the Community House expanding our program and encouraging more women.”
