Comanche City Council welcomes new member
Sharon Rounds officially took her seat on the Comanche City Council after winning an election in March at the May meeting of the council.
Current council member Wanda Moore, who had been appointed as a member last year, won her bid for re-election at the same time.
Rounds’ first meeting was a relatively smooth one as the members rolled through the three agendas of the Land Management Authority, Public Works Authority and the City Council.
The council members passed all four city budgets during a public meeting where no one in attendance had any questions, concerns or comments.
During the Land Management Authority meeting, city manager Chuck Ralls said the housing project for seniors is still going forward. He was to meet with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) May 21 to get final approval.
