City finishes on good note
The City of Comanche ended the fiscal year on a postive note the city council learned at its meeting held last Tuesday. Funds in both the Comanche Public Works Authority and City of Comanche accounts finished nearly $4,000 on the positive. City manager Chuck Ralls said the nutrition center finished more than $11,000 in the positive.
The meeting was fairly routine for the council. In the public works authority portion, trustees did vote to purchase a new actuator at the water plant for $5,471.50 with a 12-month warranty from Haynes Equipment Company. They were presented a cheaper option for repair to the current for nearly $2,000 less, but it would not include any type of warranty. Trustees decided the new one would be the better and safer route to go.
