Accident claims two lives

5-year-old child among victims

A head-on collision between a 2015 Dodge Challenger and a 2000 Chevy Impala led to the death of two people in the Impala - Charlsie N. Currie, a 24-year-old woman from Normangee, Texas and a 5-year-old boy also from Normangee, Texas.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the driver of the Challenger, Kristi R. Dennard-Goolsby, 46, of Pearland, Texas was driving north and attempted to pass a Toyota Camry and a Peterbilt tractor-trailer on Highway 81 about a half-mile north of Addington before hitting the southbound Impala head-on.

The Camry, driven by a 17-year-old female from Comanche, was also hit in the result of the collision but she was not injured. The semi-truck was not hit in the collision and the driver, Noah B. White, 25, of Yukon, was uninjured.
